I don't even know where to begin as so many things have happened.  Time goes by way too fast here, work and play, trying to fit in all the fun things.  A co-worker, Rainy and her husband Mark had me over for supper one night and afterwords we took a drive to Signal Mountain and did a very short hike.  Anyway for supper they served some appetizers while the chili was cooking and we had some wine.  Rainy had asked me ahead of time if I liked spicy food and I said yes, so she chose to make her spicy chili.   Chili is ready and I take my first bite and as it went down it irritated my already irritated throat.  OMG I coughed and coughed and they laughed and laughed!  I drank a bit of wine to help clear my throat.  I said I really do like spicy food but my throat has been irritated and this just set it off a bit, I will be fine.  Rainy shook her head like I was fibbing and I said REALLY.    Anyway I waited a bit before next bite and wham it happened again.  It was quite hysterical.  Well chili did finally get finished and we talk and laugh about it until this day.  :0)

We took the drive to Signal Mountain, hiked a short bit where I snapped this:

I almost didn't take a pic cause I could not see what I was taking, sure glad I snapped it!  I should tell you that I had my $3,000 camera set up on a tripod waiting for this moment ;0)  See a lot of that out here.

On Sept. 17th Rainy, Mark and I got a morning of kayaking down the Snake River thanks to our supervisor, Donna's husband Hector.  Hector works in the RV park and had the day off and offered to guide us on a trip, we of course said YES.  We started from the dam where this was posted:

Hmmm, I have kayaked twice before, no problem ;0)
And Hector would not take us anywhere dangerous so all is good.  We could here elk bugling on the left and right all through the trip.  Saw this eagle checking us out.
But we did not see any bear, moose or elk, oh well it was an exceptionally beautiful trip.

About 1/3 of the way in we are all busy talking and Hector says Everybody paddle over to the right, you want to be on the right where it is calmer.  Well, he said it a little too late for this kiddo and he said,  Sorry I should have warned you all earlier.  We all paddled and paddled to make it to the right but I just couldn't get there, the current had me.  He said to just go and ride through it :0)   They were all on one side of this divide (small, small island between us) I am on the other side that flows a bit faster, which ( I should make a good rapids survival story here) really wasn't bad.  Here comes Hector through a passage way to make sure I am ok, he told the others that they were on their own and he was going after me, how sweet :0)  We all made it back together again and continued on this beautiful river.  It was crystal clear and you could see the bottom most of the time.  Nobody else was out, just us and the bugling elk, and the bear which I know see us, but we don't see them.
